LA VIMEA is the first completely vegan hotel in Italy, for adults only. Located in Naturno near Merano, immersed in the magnificent South Tyrolean landscape. It offers exclusive comfort while keeping light its ecological footprint on the world.

At LA VIMEA creative cuisine is made using exclusively organic and biodynamic products. Aromatic herbs from the hotel’s own organic garden, home fermented products, mostly local vegetables from only sustainable suppliers, dishes that artistically express the colors and flavors of Nature, traditional recipes masterfully revised to deliver a purely plant-based, surprising combination of taste and textures.

Yoga is offered as a weekly program where also meditation and forest bathing are integrated. Depending on the weather conditions, Yoga lessons are performed daily ( Monday to Saturday) either in the garden, or in one of the two dedicated yoga rooms. For those looking for a deeper experience there is the possibility to book massages and energy treatments by expert hands. LA VIMEA can also host yoga retreats for small groups, to find your inner center in complete harmony.

At the vegan hotel LA VIMEA the concept of hospitality is completely revised. Customers from all over the world find here a common purpose and shared values, no longer a hotel in the traditional sense of the word, but a meeting and sharing point. United by a purely vegan approach abd by the desire to set an important example. Willing to give a sustainable and ecological contribution, with the intention of creating a positive difference in the world.

The five green pillars on which the hotel was built are: vegan, organic, sustainable, seasonal, and handmade. The majority of the hotel furniture is made out of local wood, cut during the waning moon cycle to ensure better energy and resistance, and not treated with any chemical additives. Mattresses are made out of vegetable fibers and water-based foam. They will be recycled at the end of their life cycle and used for insulation panels. Blankets are made of Tencel, which is also a vegetal fiber. Courtesy kits are vegan, organic, and sustainable (refillable dispensers). Straws are out of glass. The glasses are made of Eco-Crystal, made by an Italian company. 14 rooms are dog-friendly, and upon arrival a gift bag of high-quality vegan treats is provided to your pet. Everywhere recycled paper is preferred (from the reception to the laudry room and to the kitchen). All detergents are environmentally friendly and come from a certified sustainable company.

Wi-fi is provided from 6 am to 11 pm in order to allow quality rest during the night. On request, for special needs like work or different time zones, guests can ask for exceptions.

Relaxing at LA VIMEA is really stunning in a natural setting of a green garden with a natural pond, with two yoga rooms and an outdoor yoga deck (with complimentary yoga sessions), an indoor swimming pool, a modern gym, three saunas, a hot stone lounge, energetic massages, and forest bathing. The surrounding of sunny Venosta Valley allows beautiful trekking and cycling tours (e-bike rentals and lunch box service are available on the site). The area provides the longest biking season in the Alps.

A strategic location is not only surrounded by Nature but also by culture, with ancient castles, churches, and museums.

VEGAN RESTAURANT

LA VIMEA runs a gourmet, 100% vegan restaurant. All the guests can enjoy  a 100% vegan half-board, including a vegan breakfast and 5-course gourmet dinner. The cuisine is based on organic products delivered from trusted, sustainable local producers. The focus is always on seasonal local products. Additionally, the guests may enjoy a list of special home-made herbal cocktails based on healing herbs grown in the hotel’s own garden. An additional source of pride for the hotel is its in-house production
of fermented products & beverages, as the fermentation process is approached seriously and with professionalism here. Gluten-free options are also available.

Breakfast: a beautiful selection of warm and cold dishes, fresh organic fruits and vegetables, sweets and pastries, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, cereals, fermented drinks, organic juices, vegan milk, tea, and coffee from the buffet and also the traditional italian coffee treats from the bar,  like espresso , latte macchiato or cappuccino in vegan version.

Lunch: upon request, guests can also enjoy lunchat the hotel. The à-la-carte menu offers purely plant-based dishes based on organic local products.

Dinner: a 5-course gourmet organic vegan pre-set menu changing every day, according to the season and the Head Chef’s creativity.

LA VIMEA Vegan Restaurant also works for external guests upon preliminary reservation, serving breakfast, lunch or dinner.
