Historical Hotel in Lecce

Historical Hotel in Lecce

A noble residence in the heart of Lecce now houses a Boutique Hotel with five luxurious Suites. Climbing the frescoed stairs leads to the Noble Floor: elegant lounges, the breakfast room and the ballroom surround the magnificent bedrooms. The terraces and the two internal gardens are the ideal place for relaxation on warm summer evenings.

The intent to maintain the soul of the building is clear. In all the rooms an attempt was made to recover and enhance the original furnishings, as well as the frescoes and the wonderful floors; the names of the rooms trace the history of the palace.

This Hotel is an exclusive place to experience Lecce by listening to the echo of the past: walking through the Palace almost feels like going back to the life of the nobles who lived these rooms for over 500 years. The building offers the attention to detail that every traveler seeks: from sumptuous private dinners, to breakfasts with antique silver and porcelain cutlery, from the breathtaking view of the rooftop, to relaxation in the cool of the internal cloisters.

Relax & Activities

Attention to the guest is expressed in various aspects: in addition to the spaces on the Noble Floor, the Hotel has a charming relaxation area, created in a manger from the 1500s and equipped with a Jacuzzi and Sauna. The use of the area is private, to make the experience even more intimate and enjoyable. Upon request, Palazzo Guido hosts expert masseurs, specialized in holistic and bio-natural treatments.

Among the other possibilities offered by the property, it is possible to request breakfast in the room and use bicycles for free to explore the city.

Suite Alcantarine

Located on the first floor of the North wing, the Alcantarine Suite has the most exclusive view of the entire building, thanks to three large windows overlooking the Alcantarine Church, an example of Lecce baroque that gives the Suite its name. The setting is elegant and refined, a space created to amaze thanks to the antique furnishings and fine fabrics.

The Suite is particularly cozy by the antique silk sofa and the opening table. Looking up you can admire a beautiful cross vault with 18th century Lecce stone workings. The bathroom is elegant and comfortable thanks to the large size, a double waterfall shower and pastina floors, perfectly coordinated with the modern monolith washbasin.

Neve Suite

Among the quietest and brightest suites in the hotel, thanks to its magical atmosphere, the Snow Suite is a real treat for the guest. This Suite is located on the first floor, in the south wing of the building, more detached from the central body, ensuring a quiet environment and lots of privacy. The master bedroom opens onto a small living room and a kitchenette, embellished with vaulted and cross-vaulted ceilings, exposed Lecce stone and original floors in pastina.

The comfort of this Suite is also realized in the bathrooms. One room overlooks a private terrace and houses a Jacuzzi, while the other is intended for the toilet and the large shower, dominated by a Lecce stone arch.

The Snow Suite is also the only one to have a private external relevance, a small terrace with table and chairs, and overlooks the internal courtyard which can be accessed via an ancient spiral staircase.

Donna Geltrude Royal Suite

The most comfortable room in the Hotel thanks to the presence of a living room and an anteroom (which can comfortably accommodate a third person), and overlooking two distinct outdoor areas that give a special brightness to the room.

The original grit floors, the period furniture and the architectural features such as the Lecce stone arch tell the historicity of this Hotel and this Suite, which takes its name from Donna Geltrude, the elegant wife of Francesco Guido who lived here for over 83 years.

The room has a large bathroom that houses both the whirlpool tub and the shower, and two accesses to external areas. The terrace is accessed from the French window in the living room, while the large French window next to the bed overlooks the internal courtyard of the Palazzo. These spaces are not in exclusive use, but thanks to the size of the house and the small number of guests, it is possible to enjoy your own privacy.

Camino Suite

A quiet and luxurious 45sqm Suite, made welcoming by the Lecce stone fireplace, which gives the room its name, and by the evocative furnishings that include a bed with an original 18th century gold leaf headboard and a Chesterfield lounge. Centrally located inside the Palazzo, the Suite is well connected to the hotel services and also has direct access to the terrace, which overlooks the internal garden.

Studio Suite

Among the most luxurious suites thanks to the original furnishings (including an impressive solid wood bookcase and a shapely one in antique silk) it is embellished with late 19th century oils by Agesilao Flora, which decorate the ceiling of the room for a breathtaking awakening.

Centrally located on the noble floor of the building, the room overlooks the internal courtyard on one side, and on the other has a view of the street of the historic center. The bathroom is spread over two different rooms behind the library. One houses the sink and toilet, while the other has a whirlpool tub. The shower remains in transition between the two rooms, while the walls are decorated with original seventeenth-century and nineteenth-century frescoes.
