“One of the 12 most beautiful hotels in the world” according to the Times, Sextantio is a cultural project for the conservative recovery of the “Sassi” of Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993. The whole complex is located in the oldest part of the Sassi, the Civita, overhanging the Gravina stream, in front of the dramatic scenography of the Murgia Park and its Rupestrian churches.

It is precisely in one of these suggestive rock churches that the Tavolata will take place, by candlelight and classical music in the background. A local lady from Matera will prepare a menu with traditional local products and typical, including wines.
