At the top of the mountain Hochjochferner Glacier, you will find a fantastic place: Mountain Refuge in Senales Valley. The lodge is situated at an altitude of 2845 meters, where the glacial air is brisk and crystal clear, and looks across a sea of peaks that doesn’t seem to want to end. Spirit. Body. An encounter with oneself and with nature. Up here, all borders are moveable.

The Mountain Refuge’s double and multi-bed rooms are one thing above all else: comfortable. Whether you sleep in the dormitory or in a single, double or triple room: the best dreams await, between red-and-white sheets and simplicity itself.

The menu of the Reastaurant is based on regional products, and is of the highest quality and extremely energizing. Senales Valley roast lamb. South Tyrolean specialty Knödel dumplings. Italian tiramisu. These dishes bring together everything that makes their cuisine special. Simple. Refined. Down to earth. Mountain cuisine with heart.

Spazio AWE

At 2845 meters above sea level, near the Mountain Refuge, they created a new space that will enchant every guest. A minimalist wooden building, which looks like a Chapel, provides a view of the glacier world inside:
A place for a magic View, Wide and Insight named “Spazio AWE”.
The Spazio AWE is a place for yoga sessions, meetings, wine tastings, great conversations in small groups, or just for moments of reflection.

The Customs House, a small mountain retreat

Man, mountain, silence. So much of Mother Nature’s power can only be described in the simplest words. About 800 meters from the Mountain Refuge, you’ll find a little Customs House. Far removed from noise and beyond visual contact, anyone who wants to connect to the mountains in an all-out, yet still relaxed, way will absolutely love this extraordinary place. It’s ideal for spending quality time together. The living room and Stube bedroom are ideal for self-catering as well as for anyone who really values a timeless, restful mountain experience.

The Iglu

Sleep surrounded by flickering hues of blue, magical snow and candlelight. In winter, when the snow dampens noise and the sound of the mountains changes, you will find three igloos out of ice and snow nearby the refuge.
Inside these spacious igloos, guests sleep atop insulated pads and cozy sheepskins, nestled inside expedition-warmth sleeping bags, with a fresh inner sleeping bag made of skin-friendly linen.
In order to turn your night-in-an-igloo into a truly extraordinary experience, there’s a hot drink on arrival, a four-course dinner in the evening, a bottle of Prosecco before bedtime and a sumptuous breakfast buffet in the morning.
As part of the igloo package, a Finnish outdoor sauna and hot water tub are located just outside the door and for your use at any time. The restrooms and the Mountain Refuge are very close by, and the doors are always open. Sauna warmth, hot water, a feeling of security: an all-inclusive igloo overnight.
The igloos can be booked from mid December to the beginning of April.
