Casa Terralta

Casa Terralta

Casa Terralta was originally used as a summer residence by a group of nuns. Today it has retained its historical authenticity while transforming into a sophisticated home.

Casa Terralta is located in the centre of the Itria Valley, on a hill with a breathtaking panoramic view. It offers a perfect blend of authentic character and contemporary comfort. The interiors of Casa Terralta are tastefully furnished and spacious. The large windows overlooking the courtyard create a unique atmosphere between inside and outside, thanks to the play of light they produce.

The materials used in this structure are entirely natural. The floors are made from lime-based resins, the high-design furniture is custom-made from natural wood, and the outdoor flooring is made from reclaimed stone. The property features a large courtyard at the front, which serves as an introduction to the entire space. The main building is on two levels and the back area is enclosed by high dry-stone walls, creating a private garden and an intimate courtyard with a swimming pool.

On the ground floor, there is a living-dining area with an antique fireplace and an open space to the designer kitchen equipped with quality appliances and utensils. Also on the same floor are two en-suite bedrooms with vaulted ceilings. In addition, there is a trulli complex with a private courtyard and patio with relaxation area and two-seater sofa bed and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom, all completely independent but directly connected to the pool and garden area.

The first floor, accessible by a stone staircase, gives access to a further single room and panoramic terraces. The jewel in the crown is a stone-clad room with a heated pool for authentic moments of well-being. Within the courtyard, guests have access to several relaxation areas located between pergolas and drystone walls. These include an outdoor dining area with an original stone barbecue, perfect for barbecues with friends.

Additionally, there is a dark-colored swimming pool with a solarium area for cooling off on hot summer days, as well as panoramic terraces that offer stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The entire property is further enhanced by a small citrus grove, which is surrounded by high original walls. Staying at Casa Terralta offers a unique experience of history, culture, nature, and well-being.
