Retreat overlooking Lake Como

Leaving the highway, we take the road that runs alongside Lake Como, visible in all its incredible beauty.
Mountains and dark blue water, a few boats that cross it and a series of villages one sweeter than the other, accompany us on a path of curves for about 40 minutes from Como. We then turn left and we take a road that leads us at the top, making us thinking at a certain point that we are in the mountains, and of having put the lake behind us.

Instead, after 20 minutes we arrive in a small town and we enter a road that leads us to the entrance of this villa, with a spectacular view of Lake Como. Perhaps the most beautiful, seen from above.

Welcomed by the very kind and professional Ignacio, the Property Manager, we park the car and enter this Liberty building. Inside completely renovated in a modern but not obvious key. The property is located 881 meters above the lake and offers 1,231 sqm of living space.

Incredible green expanses and the blue of the lake can be admired from the balcony of each bedroom, from the main terrace of the villa, and from the green roof of the infinity pool.

Ignazio shows us the house, passing through three living rooms on the ground floor, the dining room and the large professional kitchen, the terrace outside, and then takes the elevator up to the rooms on the third floor (there are also on the second).

Comfortable beds and beautifully designed, with bathrooms and tubs with salts on the side that immediately makes you want to take a nice relaxing bath.

Once on the top floor you find the “game room”. There is in fact a pool table and a large TV with the possibility of playing video games with a wide selection, a sofa, another outdoor kitchen on the terrace where it is possible to have an aperitif with a view from above … what to say, you will not want to leave anymore.

But it does not end here.. because exiting the main building you can reach the guest house from the garden flanked by the infinity pool. Electric fireplace, and relaxation is in an “on” mood.

There is also a gym with lake view and a Turkish bath on floor – 1.

We then decide to shop at the market and cook for dinner (the private Chef is included in the rental price) and relax with an aperitif in the Guest House next to the fire. We fell in love with the view.

A villa with its own personality, ideal for private events and ceremonies, but also for a family and friends getaway. The sound system, which can be easily connected to phones with a wifi network, allowed us to increase the level of atmosphere, and we can define it as a perfect evening.

We then have dinner in the main room surrounded by candles, and finally head to our rooms where we have a great sleep. The details are also in the design objects and lights, not to mention in the fabrics and mattress. We click on the buttons that close the windows electrically, and we taste one of the most comfortable sleeps of our lives.

In the morning, waking up with a sunny weather, pancakes for breakfast next to the pool, makes a new day another worthy one.
